colin powell

i don't really read the news that often because it's always presented with an agenda. but i guess it's impossible to get totally unbiased news. anyway, i was taking a gander at bbc news today. i have to admit, every time i read about colin powell, i like him more. not that i totally agree with his political views. he just strikes as one of the better grounded american politicians out there. i still left the states partly because bush was elected. i don't have the patience to stress about the bush administration. i want to watch news about marijuana legalization instead. but colin powell's presence in the administration was one of the few things i could take comfort in. that and bush's willingness to listen to his advisors rather than rely on the cotton candy floating around between his ears.
