very short and crazy/disturbing conversation. (re: EVIL! okay, not really.)
some kid randomed me on icq and asked me what i was doing (actually he said, what's up, but i just can't ever seem to use that phrase, and i'm doing the paraphrasing now, mua ha ha). anyway, i casually responded that i was not up to much, getting some work done before beginning the drinking. i'll quote his message this time "drinking is evil :p". i jokingly agreed. in response to one of the subsequent questions he posed. ispecified... er, lied, saying that i was 19. he believed that this made it not evil for me to drink. i said "right, because legality dictates right and wrong." he agreed. a little sarcasm and joking is all good with me. but i worry when somebody uses evil so many times in one short conversation. so i asked if the kid was serious. and he was. and now i'm disturbed. of all the good reasons to have some sort of opposition to alcohol, our poor children are brainless zombies, totally unwilling to question the rules set before them. what happened to rules are made to be broken? or just the simple concept of independent thought. maybe i'm taking this too seriously. on with the evil activities and practices that comprise my evil life.
