bastards

so i wrote tomos, this company that makes mopeds and motorcycles, about my new bike. the woman that sold it to me insisted that she'd done all this research on the bike and gave me a square of cardboard from a potatoe chip box with info scribbled on the back. from that, and my own casual investigation of the bike, i discovered that it was a tomos. (with a san marco seat, cycle rite tires, and balilla front tire brakes, etc.). she said it was assembled in england in 1942. i only wanted to see if the bike was actually from 1942. i'll take it to an antique bike store eventually. but in the mean-time i looked up tomos. their website was no help. so i e-mailed them all about my little bike. specifically to ask them if they ever made bicylces. this was the response i got: "Dear Sir, Please be informed that first Tomos bike was launched back in 1954. Kind regards, TOMOS " i'll say it again, bastards.
